Robin Wilson Payne joins StevenDouglas as a Director of Finance and Accounting Search in Houston, Texas. Robin has experience in executive recruiting and business development, specializing in placing accounting and finance professionals across various industries and companies. She has worked with start-ups, emerging middle markets, Fortune 500 companies, and private equity firms, filling positions from Senior to C-level Executives.
As a Houston native, Robin has an extensive network of contacts in the Greater Houston area. She leverages her connections, relationships, and experience to identify and recruit the brightest talent for her clients while being mindful of their vision, values, and culture fit. Robin also enjoys offering career guidance and support to candidates, helping them navigate the job market and achieve their goals. Robin graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 2007. During college, she interned with Vinson & Elkins, and after graduation, she worked as a Corporate Paralegal for Shipley Snell Montgomery, LLP. In 2011, Robin joined a national recruiting firm based in Houston and quickly realized that recruiting was her true calling. During her first four consecutive years, the Texas Search Recruiting and Staffing Association recognized her as a Top Direct Hire Recruiter, billing over $1 million. Before joining StevenDouglas, Robin was the Co-owner and Partner of a Texas-based boutique recruiting firm, McNeal & Payne Talent, for five years. Robin's greatest strength lies in establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with her clients and candidates. She values trust, transparency, integrity, an encouraging attitude, and a sense of humor.
In her free time, Robin enjoys spending quality time near the water with her family. She has been an active volunteer and rider with The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Bike MS: Texas MS 150 since 2011.
