Kyla Janecek is an experienced professional with an accounting, auditing, and recruiting background. Throughout her career, Kyla discovered her passion for being a trusted business advisor, building professional relationships, and coaching and mentoring team members. This led her to transition into recruiting, where she has gained several years of experience in multiple industries, working on positions ranging from staff to executive level.
Currently, Kyla serves as a Finance and Accounting Search Manager at StevenDouglas, focusing on the Houston, Texas market. She brings a unique skill set acquired from her public accounting and industry experience, making her thorough and customer service-driven in her recruiting approach. Kyla is known for her knowledge, thoughtfulness, and ethical approach to clients and candidates alike.

Kyla began her career at Deloitte & Touche, working in Audit and Assurance. During her time there, she gained experience working with clients in various industries, such as oil and gas, healthcare, and retail. She also played a role in Deloitte's college recruiting program and supervised and coached professionals in financial audits.
After her time at Deloitte, Kyla joined Halliburton's Internal Audit group. In this role, she collaborated with stakeholders to identify areas of non-compliance and improvement. She also obtained her Certified Fraud Examiner License (CFE) during her tenure at Halliburton.

Kyla holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Management and a Masters in Accountancy degree from Texas Lutheran University.
