Brett Nortman is a Director and Co-Head of the Financial Services Search Practice, serving a highly diversified base of clients nationally. Brett has been building on his expertise since 2008, focusing on both buy-side and sell-side opportunities across investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, private credit, and private equity funds.

Brett credits his success to his relentlessly persistent approach to building and fostering relationships to originate business and source the best candidates. His deep industry expertise across Financial Services has allowed for his ability to flawlessly execute senior-level and executive search mandates across fixed income, equities, currencies, commodities, investment banking, and capital markets for major buy-side and sell-side firms globally. Brett’s specialties are client-facing and revenue-producing opportunities, including portfolio managers, investment analysts, M&A, sales, trading, and research.

Brett was a partner and leader in driving business within the Financial Services group at an Executive Search firm in New York prior to joining StevenDouglas. He attended The University of Arizona and Hofstra University, where he studied Economics.
