Amanda is a nationally recognized executive recruiter specializing in CHRO, CPO, and senior HR leadership searches, as well as building high-performing HR leadership teams for growing, transforming, and private equity-backed companies across the country.

Amanda began her career as an HR practitioner, giving her a firsthand understanding of the function and the leaders who make it work. Today, she brings that perspective to every search, combining 18+ years of HR and recruiting experience with a practical understanding of business, people, culture, and organizational growth.

Since joining StevenDouglas in 2013, Amanda has been promoted four times, most recently to Managing Director of the firm’s National HR Search Practice, dedicated to building and leading HR executive search nationally.

In 2025, Amanda was invited to join The Pinnacle Society, an elite organization of leading recruiters in North America recognized for sustained excellence, performance, and leadership within the search profession.

Amanda is also the creator of IRON HRO, a growing HR leadership platform and newsletter with more than 19,000 subscribers. Through IRON HRO, she shares candid perspectives on executive leadership, the HR talent market, career strategy, and conversations with some of the country’s leading CHROs and Chief People Officers.

Her work today is focused on two things: helping organizations find exceptional HR executives and helping them build the leadership teams beneath them that can scale with the business.

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix.

Outside of work, Amanda is an avid cook, reader and writer, gardener, and traveler. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring new places with her husband.
