Tammy Curtis is Selected as a 2014 Business Woman of The Year Finalist
StevenDouglas is happy to announce that Tammy Curtis, Managing Director, Tampa, has been selected as a finalist for Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2014 Business Woman of the Year Awards, which celebrate the achievements of successful women throughout the Tampa Bay area. An independent panel of judges chose this year’s 50 finalists and Tammy is a finalist in the Business Services category and leads our Tampa practice with a specialized focus in accounting & finance, human resources and technology.
“Tammy deserves this honor not only because of her enterprising spirit and the success she’s achieved running the Tampa office of StevenDouglas, ” said Mark Viner, Division President at StevenDouglas, “but she is also a genuinely kind and compassionate person who is heavily involved in her community. Throughout her career, Tammy has served in many senior roles with many local business associations such as the IMA – Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association for Corporate Growth, as well as a Charter Member of WEL (Women Executive Leadership). Her community involvement includes very active roles with the United Way Suncoast’s Women’s Leadership Council and service on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters Tampa Bay and Camelot Community Care. The Heart Gallery, an exhibit created to increase adoption of children in foster care, was created by Camelot Community Care and is extra special to Tammy. It was through Heart Gallery that she met and eventually adopted her son RD.
