Mr. Shore has a strong reputation for client service and delivering exceptional talent to companies. It is his broad-based experience in business and customer-focused approach which has enabled Matt to collaborate with his clients in all phases of the corporate lifecycle. His track record of successfully partnering with growing enterprises has resulted in the deep-rooted relationships with companies and corporate leaders throughout Florida and around the country.

As President, Matt has driven change and growth across all aspects of the firm, including market expansion, business development, internal recruiting, public relations, and leadership of the executive search practice. Additionally, Mr. Shore was a co-founder of our highly successful Project Resources Division and has played an integral role in our re-branding efforts and the introduction of our new service offerings throughout the business community. With all of his additional responsibilities, Matt continues to be an industry leader in the area of senior-level financial search. Under his leadership, SDA has garnered various honors including the “Good to Great” award (GMCC-2010), “Business of the Year” Award (SFBJ-2008), and has been on the Best Companies to Work for List (SFBJ – 2009 and 2010).

Prior to joining Steven Douglas Associates, Matt spent 10 years in progressive leadership roles for a Fortune 500 recruiting firm – most recently as Regional Managing Director-Florida for the company’s Professional Services division. Before he transitioned to the recruiting industry, Matt was with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the Audit practice.

Matt received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Florida and became a Florida CPA (currently inactive). Throughout his career, Matt has been active in many civic organizations including the United Way, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Jason Taylor Foundation, and University of Florida Foundation to name a few.   He is currently a United Way Board member, as well as the 2011-2012 Broward County Campaign Chair and the former Tocqueville Society Executive Committee Chairman – 2010.  He and his wife are Co-Chairs for the annual “Taste of South Florida” gala (2009, 2010 and 2011). He was recognized as one of South Florida’s “40 under 40” by the South Florida Business Journal in 2010 and as a Mover & Shaker by Business Leader Magazine in 2009.
