President
Mr. Shore has a strong reputation for client service and delivering exceptional talent to companies. It is his broad-based experience in business and customer-focused approach which has enabled Matt to collaborate with his clients in all phases on the corporate lifecycle. His track record of successfully partnering with growing enterprises has resulted in the deep-rooted relationships with companies and corporate leaders throughout Florida and around the country.
As President, Matt has driven change and growth across all aspects of the firm, including market expansion, business development, internal recruiting, public relations, and leadership of the executive search practice. Additionally, Mr. Shore was a co-founder of our highly successful Project Resources Division and has played an integral role in our re-branding efforts and the introduction of our new service offerings throughout the business community. With all of his additional responsibilities, Matt continues to be an industry leader in the area of senior-level financial search. His practice has grown over the years to include organizations of all sizes ranging from start-ups to well-established mid-market and Fortune 500 companies in various industries.
Prior to joining Steven Douglas Associates, Matt spent 10 years in progressive leadership roles for a Fortune-500 recruiting firm – most recently as Regional Managing Director-Florida for the company’s Professional Services division. Before he transitioned to the recruiting industry, Matt was with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the Audit practice.
Matt, a Florida CPA, received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Florida. Throughout his career, Matt has been active in many professional and civic organizations including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation annual “Taste of South Florida” gala (Co-chair with his wife – 2009 & 2010), United Way of Broward County Tocqueville Society (Executive Committee Chairman – 2010) and Association for Corporate Growth (Board of Directors). He was recognized as one of South Florida’s “40 under 40” by the South Florida Business Journal in 2010 and as a Mover & Shaker by Business Leader Magazine in 2009.
