Almost every day we are asked by our clients, “How’s the job market?”   While the media sends us daily reminders that the job market is gloomy and the national unemployment rate is hovering around 10%, one interesting fact is overlooked.  If you are 25 years or older with a college degree the unemployment rate is 4.6%*.  That’s right 4.6%, which by most accounts is close to full employment.

There are clearly certain industries and skill sets that are struggling more than others in this economy.  For this newsletter, our focus will be on areas that are in demand in our core disciplines of Accounting & Finance, Information Technology, Wealth Management, and Human Resources.  We will also discuss how some companies have chosen to use variable resources to get things done on an interim or project basis.  We hope you find this information valuable.

Sincerely,
